Kimberley Morris Rosen ’98, President

Kimberley graduated from Castilleja in 1998. She then attended Princeton University and Stanford Law School. Kimberley maintains her own law practice and primarily represents educational institutions. She also serves on the Portola Valley School Board and is a proud member of the Castilleja Alumnae Board. Kimberley lives with her husband, four children, and goldendoodle in Portola Valley. She enjoys spending time with her family, going on walks in her beautiful community, and meeting up with her Castilleja friends.

Anisha Bhalla ’06, Vice President

Anisha is proud to serve on the board and build Castilleja’s alum program! She is also the Head of Strategic Accounts at Anthropic - an AI safety research lab. Ever since her Casti days, she's been a tennis player and swimmer - she loves to compete! She now has two daughters (under three years old!) and lives with her husband in Menlo Park, CA. She enjoys driving by campus and reminiscing on memories made on the Circle.

Anjali Rani Jotwani ’08

After graduating in 2008, Anjali went on to study economics and environmental studies at Bucknell University and is now a Product Manager at Apple. She loves to travel, cook, scuba dive, and watch Warriors basketball!

Michele Wray Khateri ’87

Michele is the Director of Fundraising & Strategic Initiatives for Blueprint, a real estate development nonprofit that provides facility solutions for charter schools in California, Colorado, Texas, and Washington. She has worked as a fundraising professional at education, human rights, and social service nonprofits and has served communities in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey as well as in Europe and the Middle East. Michele holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Scandinavian Studies from UC Berkeley and a Masters in International Affairs with a focus on Human Rights from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University.

Kristin Leasia ’07

A 2007 graduate, Kristin attended Northwestern University, where she earned both her BA and JD. She currently lives in (the suburbs of) Chicago, Illinois. After a couple of stints working as an attorney for city and state government, she now works in-house as an attorney at Komatsu, a multinational corporation that manufactures heavy earth-moving equipment. In addition to serving on the Alumnae Board, Kristin is a member of the Junior League of Chicago, where she holds a leadership role. She also frequently volunteers at a local animal shelter, and runs 5Ks for fun.

Aleia Carr McDaniel ’96

Aleia McDaniel is a principal supervisor and educator with over 25 years of proven skills in public education, leadership development, and equity work in charter schools and national organization. Aleia completed her Master of Arts in Leadership, Policy, and Politics from Teachers College, the School of Education for Columbia University, and she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Barnard College, the women's college of Columbia University. Though she grew up in California, lived in the New York City metro area for more than decade, Aleia is happy to call Dallas, Texas home for the past 12 years.

Lauren Speiser ’20

Lauren graduated in 2020 and has lived in 5 countries in the 5 years since. Despite a senior superlative suggesting she'd never return from studying abroad (which felt true at the time), she's now based in San Francisco where she works on product design at an AI startup. Loves rock climbing, following Bay Area sports (the Valkyries + Giants especially), and living driving distance from her mom for the first time since high school.

Claire Traum ’17

Claire recently returned to the Bay Area after graduating from Bowdoin in 2021 and working several years at a boutique consulting firm in Boston. Claire is passionate about health tech and currently works on Lyra Health’s go-to-market team. She is an avid runner (a passion sparked at Casti) and loves hiking, backpacking, skiing, and adventuring with friends. Claire joined the board in 2024.

Bella Vandenberg ’20

Bella Vandenberg is a proud member of the Castilleja class of 2020 and is excited to serve on the Alumnae Board as Awards Chair. After graduating from Casti, Bella attended Cornell University, where she studied Industrial and Labor Relations with a focus in business. She now works as a management consultant at Bain & Company in San Francisco. She’s looking forward to celebrating the incredible achievements of fellow Castilleja alums and building stronger connections with alumni in the Bay Area.

Mina Yazdi ’03

Mina Yazdi '03 began her career in finance and consulting at Pharus Advisors, FTI Consulting, and SAP before launching her own upscale, eco-friendly women’s ready-to-wear brand, which was featured in Lucky and InStyle magazines. She now lives in the Bay Area with her husband, two daughters, and their labrador. Mina is an active parent volunteer at her daughters’ elementary school, where she leads the school merchandise store and serves as treasurer on the Parent Association Executive Team for the 2025–2027 term. She loves cooking, traveling, taking workout classes, hiking, and doing arts and crafts with her daughters.

Liz Babb ’82

Liz is the Director of Alumnae Engagement at Castilleja, starting in July of 2023. Her responsibilities include alum events and communications with a shared role in fundraising. She loves being back on the Circle and reconnecting with alums! Prior to this, Liz ran her own businesses in tech and beauty after having a 20 year career in tech and finance. She has lived on the East Coast, in London, and San Francisco for long stints, and now make her home in Portola Valley.
