Typical time commitment for a Board member is 20 hours a year (2 hours a month) and for committee members its about 10 hours a year. You can join a committee at any time, though most terms officially begin in September, with a lighter load during the summer months (July and August).

Regional Events Committee
Chair: Lauren Speiser ’20
Working with the school, plans events in key cities where Casti alums are located, and encourages attendance.
Alum Awards Committee
Chair: Bella Vandenberg ’20
Selects recipients for our annual Distinguished Alumna, Outstanding Service, and Athletic Hall of Fame awards.
School Events Committee
Chair: Mina Yazdi ’03
Plans alum participation at Beyond the Circle (our career day) and View360 (our Tuition Assistance fundraiser), among other events.
Reunion/Alum Day Committee
Chair: Kristin Leasia ’07
Plans everything from speakers to entertainment to menus to milestone gatherings. Volunteers on the day of the event.
Young Alum Committee
Chair: Claire Traum ’17
Plans Young Alum brunch and creates YA programs throughout the year including our "Cheers & Peers" program.
Giving Committee
Chair: Anjali Rani Jotwani ’08
Works with Advancement Department to inspire and mobilize alums to support the school through philanthropy.
DEIJB Committee
Chair: Aleia Carr McDaniel '96
Fosters equity, inclusion, and belonging among Castilleja alums by creating opportunities for meaningful engagement.
Class Reps Committee
Chair: Michele Wray Khateri '87
Supports and organizes Class Representatives, helping to recruit new reps and strengthen alum connections across all class years.
Nominating Committee

Identifies and recruits passionate alum leaders to serve on the Alum Board and its committees.
